The project Wisdom of Special People (WISPEL) is a necessary PEER-TO-PEER ADULT EDUCATION INFORMAL LEARNING TOOL that will improve the life of people with disabilities and their families. We intend to transfer wisdom and advises from families of people with special needs/ disabilities to other disabled individuals or families of such. This will increase their knowledge and basic, social and life competencies and skills. We intend to gather relevant advises and suggestions from the people who already have a good experience with living with a disability and make it a learning tool. A tool that will subsequently be provided to other persons with disabilities and families of such persons, in order to help them pass through the difficult times easier and to give them important lighthouses to guide their walk through life. We have created a network of organizations from several European countries (Romania, Spain, Italy, Turkey, Latvia, Portugal) and we will all try to find the most successful persons and families who live with a disability. We will make after that the work of research - mainly interviews. We will produce a small handbook and a web-based tool (website or blog or similar) where we will put the selected advises and suggestions, wisdom and positive experiences of the disabled persons and families who have learned already how to deal with all the barriers and hard times of a life in a wheelchair, or without a limb, or without sight or hearing and so on.
